Khaosan road is a magic place, it brings people together and
you may get a nice surprice here.

I met my girl at Khaosan road

Khaosan road is located in central Bangkok. It is convenience to walk to Banglamphu (Whole sale market) and closed to the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and many famous tourist attractions. It has been known for backpackers with cheap accommodation, mattress in a box, style hostels, in the most busy traffic area. Night time at Khaosan road is terrific. It has developed over the years in both lifestyles and its surrounding. Songkran festival here, is very popular too.

Get new friends.
We are not going to talk about low cost accommodation or street food around here, let others do their own parts. Why it is so popular and still? Apart from the reasons above, we are talking about going at night time and getting some fun. This area is like a portal town, visitors come and go in the next day. Unlike Phatpong because it obviously has less bars around here. Tourists come from many countries and some people may get a new friend easily. They are in such good mood because mostly are on vacation and would like to have the most enjoyable time ,this could be one good thing as a nice meeting point for people from different places around the world.

Surprisingly, this place has become more popular by local people. They come to this area to eat and meet people. Some Thai girls are hanging out among friends as favorite place to enjoy the night. They come after work or studying, so they are not for sell. Khaosan road is a magic place, it brings people together. You may come cross a nice woman here. To make friend with local people is not so difficult but to get a girl to your bed is the other things. It is a free country, girls could pick any man they like. Girls this days are clever and well educated, so the key is “be gentle and honest” with them. You may get a good relationship with a lovely girl and have a very good moment together while staying in Thailand. Who knows!

Plane – Train – Bus – Car

Travelling in Thailand is pretty safe if you do not try to do something weird, like walking alone in the dark or go to every pubs , get drunk with strangers or even stay up late at night by the beach alone. There are rules for traveler, the same as in many countries, like do carry valuable stuff by yourself at all time and do not leave them in the bag or baggage. I once lost my baggage in Rome, it was out of my sight only 1 minute. Got lost in Paris, no one gave a damn because they do not speak English. So anything could happen in any countries if you are not cautious enough.

Thailandnights Tips
Plane : Traffic in Bangkok is mostly very busy specially rush hour 7.00-8.00 am and 5.00-6.00 pm. working days. At the weekend the traffic start busy at around 10.00 am until 8.00 pm. and mostly busy near department stores, Thai people go out a lot and the car parks are mostly full. So prepare 1 hour extra for flying domestic and 2 hours extra for flying oversea. The planes are mostly the same, if you are interested in low cost flights, consider Air Asia and Nok air. The flight tickets are cheaper about 50% compare to regular prices. They cut down some services like food and drinks, just flying alone. Also it is very cheap if you book the flight online in advance about 1 month, you will be surprised with the lowest fee.

Train : Cheaper and more safe but slow. If you are not so rush and would like to be closed to local people, this could be the choice. All destinations are in big cities and tourist places. Look out for the time and be there on time, if you stay in Bangkok prepare 30 minutes extra for the traffic.

Bus : Thai people call “Bus” because they are buses, like a school bus in the movie or the Greyhound in USA and the European may call them “Coach” which I find them quite different in terms of quality and service. Most buses are not so clean because they have been using everyday and they may not have time to do it properly. The good things are cheap, fast, have all routes you want to go and available mostly around the clock. Do sit around the middle rows, those front seats are not recommended.

Rental Cars : Driving a car in Thailand is not so easy. The roads are good enough, some routes may under construction, you have ask local people before leaving the town. The most caution is the small roads where all directiods share the path. Accident in Thailand is in high rate. Drive slow, not over 100 km/hr could safe your life.
